Summary: Winthrop controlled the tempo early in the game and took a 7-5 lead late in the 2nd quarter but injuries depleted an already thin bench and the Bulldogs turned a 9-7 halftime lead into a strong victory by running the Eagles into the ground. Dale Beuhler and Phil Johnson each had 3 goals for Winthrop. Eric Johnson had 26 saves.
